DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Southeastern Illinois College will host a campus and community-wide  electronics recycling event.\nUnloading will take place on the lower level of the North C Parking Lot.  Please enter the campus from the north off Muddy Road.\nThe following list of materials will be accepted:\n\nCRT monitors, LCD displays, computers, printers, fax machines\nLaptops, Cell Phones, PDAs\nCables, printed circuit boards, connectors, electrical equipment\nIT equipment including hubs, switches, servers, routers, racks etc….\nTelecommunication Equipment\nLaboratory test equipment\nTelevision Production Equipment\nMedical Electronics\nIndustrial Electronics\nAudio Video Equipment\nConsumer Electronics including DVD Players, Stereos, Radios, Calculators, Turntables,\nSatellite TV Equipment, Speakers, VCRs\nUPS (uninterruptible power supplies) equipment\nTelevisions\nMost everything with a cord – except unacceptable items mentioned below\n\nA list of what can be accepted also is available by going to the following website: http://www.candielectronics.com/accepted_materials.html \nItems that will not be accepted include the following:\n\nOffice Copiers\nMicrowave Ovens\nFlorescent Light Bulbs\nLead acid Batteries with the exception of UPS Batteries\nOther loose batteries (we do take the batteries within the electronics)\nWhite goods including refrigerators, stoves, vacuum cleaners, dehumidifiers etc..\nPaper\nWood\nLoose plastic\nAluminum cans\nScrap Steel\n\nFor additional information, please contact Greg McCulloch greg.mculloch@sic.edu or 618-252-5400, ext. 2520.
