November 17 will be a “Winter Wonderland” for the SIC Foundation’s Annual Fantasy Auction
Southeastern Illinois College Foundation will once again hold its annual premier fundraising event, the SIC Fantasy Auction on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 6 p.m.
“We are very excited to host the event, bringing together civic and philanthropic leaders in our community to support the mission and work of the Foundation,” said Tricia Johnson, Foundation Executive Director. “The SIC Foundation cordially invites the local community to join us at the Annual Fantasy Auction.”
This year’s auction, A Winter Wonderland, will be held at the SIC Foundation Center. The evening will include fun-filled bidding on both silent and live auction items, cocktail reception, dinner and live music. All proceeds will support student scholarships, programs, and services to provide excellent educational opportunities.
All money raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar, thanks to a Title III grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The Southeastern Illinois College Foundation is requesting sponsorship and donated items for the auction. All donations are tax deductible.
“The driving force behind Southeastern Illinois College is its volunteers, business leaders, and community. Please consider a contribution to the SIC Fantasy Auction, as your participation is integral to our success,” said Johnson. “Donations to the Southeastern Illinois College Foundation are an investment that returns in great dividends to our community by helping SIC students.”
Some silent auction items at this year’s event include an IPAD, custom-built and designed dollhouse, wine baskets from local wineries, spa packages, and tickets to see the St. Louis Cardinals.
Some of the live auction items include a weekend at a beautiful Kentucky Lake home with access to a boat and captain, catered meals, a condo in South Florida, a home in Puerto Rico for the week, golf outings, jewelry from local businesses, and a catered dinner with the president of Southeastern Illinois College at a local venue.
“As a vital part of the district, Southeastern Illinois College is making a difference daily in the lives of thousands of students and helping our community to continue to prosper,” said Vince Kasiar of Eldorado, SIC Foundation Board Chair and member of the SIC Falcon Society. “Student success adds up to a stronger, more productive community for everyone.”
Tickets are $100 for individuals and $800 per table. Sponsorship opportunities are available and scholarships will be named in honor of supporting businesses. For event information, tickets or donations, visit www.sic.edu/fantasyauction or contact Johnson at 618-841-7868 or tricia.johnson@sic.edu.
