Southeastern offers a variety of programming at various locations throughout its district. Southeastern is proud to partner with regional facilities and organizations to provide instructional programs to their clients and students. We are also pleased to be able to offer classes and activities for residents of the White County area in the David L. Stanley Carmi White County Center. The Illinois Workforce and Small Business Development Center provide customized training and CPR classes for the district’s businesses and agencies. Southeastern also offers courses at many other locations throughout its district. See the current schedule of classes for specific classes and their locations.
David L. Stanley White County Center
Southeastern Illinois College’s extension center in Carmi, IL offers baccalaureate, vocational, general studies, and community education courses. The David L. Stanley White County Center is a receiving as well as a broadcasting site for distance-learning classes. Some of the classes offered during various semesters include English, history, math, sociology, philosophy, psychology, physical education, certified nursing assistant, food service, veterinary assistant, and massage therapy. A complete range of services is offered at the White County Center to assist students. A computer lab is also available at the extension center and is open to the public when not in use for college classes or activities. The White County Center serves as a host site for the Illinois Worknet Center which provides services through the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) and Southern 14 Workforce Investment Board (WIOA partner).
Regular hours of operation for the David L. Stanley White County Center is Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. throughout the year.
