Doughty Debates
SIC student Evan Doughty of Equality debates in the Senate Chambers in the Old State Capitol in Springfield.

Interested students should contact Matt Lees in B – 118. Students who enroll in Government 260 will meet with their instructor three times a week. During class sessions students will learn parliamentary procedure, debate bills, and craft legislation. This course involves minimal lecture and is primarily activity driven. The class culminates with the Model Illinois Government Simulation held at the Capitol in Springfield in early March. Students who successfully complete the course will receive three college credits toward their electives.
