Adjunct Sociology Instructor
Description
Southeastern Illinois College is seeking a qualified and engaging Adjunct Sociology Instructor to teach undergraduate Sociology courses in an online format for the Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 terms. The ideal candidate will be committed to student success, skilled in online instruction, and able to foster an interactive virtual learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned online Sociology courses in accordance with departmental standards
- Develop and deliver course materials, lectures, discussions, and assessments
- Engage students through regular communication and timely feedback
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and grades
- Adhere to institutional policies and academic guidelines
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Sociology (or closely related field)
- Strong written and communication skills
- Basic proficiency with online learning platforms (e.g., LMS systems)
Salary
$515 per credit hour
