Bookstore Clerk

Description

Part-time position with the primary responsibility to assist with the day to day operation of the SIC bookstore and coffee bar. Duties include but not limited to purchasing, sales, inventory control, working with and reporting to the Directory of Auxiliary Services to maintain a profitable bookstore, assist with semester and year-end inventory.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree and one year of retail experience preferred. Supervisory experience desired. Must have knowledge of computer and internet and must be able to use a calculator, cash register and photocopy machine. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills required. Works closely with faculty, staff, students, vendors and the general public in a professional manner. There will be a training and probationary period of 90 days.
