Buyer/Purchasing Manager

Description

Responsible for developing specifications for required goods and services throughout the plant

Develop bidding procedures for proposals, request for quotes and evaluating supplier responses to determine the most qualifies, most efficient and most cost saving suppliers to award contracts

Final approval for amending, withdrawing and approving proposals in regards to the best decision for the company

Responsible for locating and maintaning a supplier base capable of supporting the needs for materials and instruments for the company

Develop detailed knowledge and skill with purchasing modules of any business enterprise software system used by the company

Develop detailed knowledge and skill with purchasing modules of any business enterprise software system used by the company
Develop supply / resource analysis to ensure that the company experiences no disruption of materials and instruments
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:
   – Must have Bachelor degree and /or minimum 5 years work related experience in related field
  – Possession of current certification in the purchasing management profession is recommended for this position
   – Must meet requirements of skills or work simulation testing to demonstrate working knowledge to perform the functions of the job, i.e: cost negotiations, contract negotiation, software applications
   – Must meet requirements for background and drug testing policies
  – Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and provide a clean MVR record

Salary

Salary starting at $50K, based on experience, full benefit package

Flexible between the hours of 7am-5pm, Monday – Saturday
