Family Engagement/Professional Development Coordinator


Head Start/Early Head Start has an opening for a Family Engagement/Professional Development Coordinator  in our Central Office located in Enfield.  This is a pay grade IX, full-time position with benefits as described in the employee handbook.

Responsibilities:   Ensures staff interaction with families is meaningful and aligns with program and agency family goals.  Monitors family engagement activities; provides training and guidance to HS/EHS staff to ensure high quality family engagement for increased school readiness and family outcomes.  Acts as a liaison between WADI HS/EHS and a contracted Mental Health provider to ensure children and families are provided with appropriate services in a timely manner.  Coordinates professional development training for HS/EHS staff, plans and organizes a wide range of training, pre-service, and individualized training for employees, including out of area travel arrangements. 


Minimum qualifications:  Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field.  Must complete Family Development Credential within eighteen months of hire. Prefer three years experience of work in community outreach programs by providing direct services to families.
