Health & Nutrition Specialist

Southern Seven Head Start has a Health & Nutrition Specialist opening at the Head Start Administrative Building located in Ullin, Illinois. This position is responsible for coordinating all requirements of the Head Start performance standards related to health care services, as well as providing I coordinating staff and parent trainings as needed on health issues. This position will also be responsible for meeting the requirements of the Child & Adult Care Food Program; follow USDA guidelines; participate in menu planning; coordinate the requisitioning of supplies and equipment; review food bids; assist with negotiation of contracts, supplies, and services; and plan trainings for cooks/cook’s helpers.  Will be required to obtain Hearing & Vision Certification and CPR/First Aid Instructor certification.
