Job Summary: We are seeking a certified mechanic in our Morton, IL location. The primary role of this position is to perform routine maintenance on the company’s diesel fleet. Commitment to safety, strong work ethic and a positive attitude are key components of this position.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities • Diesel engine oil and fuel system PM services • Diesel transmission and differential PM services • Diesel drive train PM service • Overall PM service inspection • Trailer and chassis repairs • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures; report all unsafe activity to supervisor and/or human resources • Physical requirements o Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms o Occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl • Work environment o Regularly working near moving mechanical parts o Occasionally working in (non-weather) wet or humid conditions; in high, precarious places; with fumes or airborne particles; with toxic or caustic chemicals; in outdoor weather conditions; in extreme heat or cold (non-weather); with some vibration o Loud noise level o Indoor and outdoor shop environment with adequate ventilation • Perform other duties as assigned


• Education o High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Experience o One to three months related experience and/or training o Equivalent combination of education and experience o CDL preferred o Basic computer skills o Must supply basic tools to complete mechanical duties up to and including 1 ¼” wrenches
