Network Administrator


This is a full-time, non-tenured administrative position.  The position requires that one be able to install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair computers, network equipment, and associated peripherals.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Endpoint management through Microsoft System Center for over 700 nodes.
2. Administer Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) – Work Resources.
3. Maintain Active Directory login accounts and Group Policies.
4. Develop login scripts, network share permissions, and access.
5. Configure Host Servers, Network SAN (VMware)
6. Configure network switches, wireless access points, and other network devices.
7. Automate software deployment, patches, and security updates.
8. Manage mobile devices.
9. Configure Print Servers and network printers.
10. Administer local and cloud backups.
11. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair computers and other peripherals.
12. Provide support to the Senior Network and Security Administrator.
13. Provide guidance to the Network Technician for customer service needs.
14. Provide support, guidance, and direction to student workers performing technician-related tasks.
15. Assist with technical maintenance of Internet and Intranet websites and integration of Content Management System into these sites.
16. Other duties as assigned by Chief Information Officer and senior supervisors as needed.


An Associate degree in a computer-related field and/or current MCSE, Network+, CCNA certification, and/or relevant experience.  Qualified candidate should offer experience in many of the following areas: PC/Network maintenance, Wireless Networks, Windows Desktop and Server O/S, Microsoft System Center, Work Resources (RDS), Windows Deployment Services and Patch Management, Active Directory, Group Policies, PowerShell Scripts, O365 Management, Mobile Device Management (intune), Print Server Management, SQL Server, programming languages, relational databases including SQL queries along with programming/coding for information systems and ERP.
