Nursing Services Coordinator (RN)
Regular, full time (12 months) Nursing Service Coordinator (RN) opening at the Administrative Building located in Ullin, Illinois. This position will work under the direction of the Director of Nursing within the Head Start/Early Head Start and Public Health programming. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: completing monthly infant and toddler hearing and vision screenings, assisting with monitoring health requirements for children enrolled in EHS/HS; working with local medical providers to assure Head Start families have a medical home; serving on the Health Services Advisory Committee, acting as a liaison between EHS/HS and WIC to optimize service delivery of both programs; assist with coordination of the Immunization Program, Bright Smiles Program and Public Health Nurses Employee Orientation and Training. Performs Public Health nursing functions such as injections, finger sticks, blood draw, TB skin test administration & reading, vital signs, and other functions as assigned. Prepares and administers vaccines, and participated in communicable and chronic disease investigation and surveillance.
Minimum qualifications include a must have a current Illinois RN License and preference will be given to applicants with Public Health experience. DCFS Criminal Background/Criminal Check is required.
