Outfitter Wildlife Management Instructor

Description

This is the job for an outdoorsman/woman who is passionate about educating others on outfitting, hunting, and fishing. This would consist of recruiting students for the Outfitter Wildlife Management Program from not only our region but the nation. This job would also require work with academics to develop and promote the OWL Program curriculum. Once students have been recruited in the spring and summer semester, the successful candidate will become the lead faculty member of the program in fall 2019. This position would consist of instructing courses such as Hunting Education, Guiding in the Outdoors, Bow Hunting Safety, Big Game Management, and more. This would include additional assignments, including but not limited to shotgun team coaching. 

Qualifications

Must possess a higher education degree in a relevant discipline and have required experience in outfitting and wildlife management. Must possess a current FOID card and documentation of successful completion of hunter safety course(es).

Salary

Base salary will be determined by the SICEA Salary Schedule. Additional assignments, such as sponsoring the shooting team, will be compensated in addition to the base salary.
