PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation is a non-profit organization which provides free legal services to low-income individuals and groups in civil cases in central and southern Illinois. The program has a strong history of high quality and innovative advocacy for its clients. The Southern Regional office is located in Carbondale, Illinois.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting low-income and elderly clients in the preparation of wills and powers of attorney and initial intake on other legal issues. Some secretarial duties. Job requires a significant amount of travel to senior services sites and home visits. Work week is 40 hours/week.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience. Commitment to the representation of low-income individuals. Ability to type 60 wpm or better.
Salary
$32,000.00 (depending on experience). Excellent fringe benefits.
