Upward Bound Project Specialist


This 12-month, full-time grant-funded position will be working with participating high schools to provide services, resources, and support to disadvantaged, low-income, and/or first-generation students. The Project Specialist will work closely with the Project Director and other grant personnel to assess the academic, college, and career readiness needs of students; monitor student progress and assist students in meeting program outcomes; conduct workshops and presentations in collaboration with high school faculty and staff; and assist grant personnel with implementation of grant activities throughout the year.


Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field required. We are looking for candidates with prior experience with instruction and/or support services for secondary or college-age students and strong organizational and communication skills. Previous grant experience is helpful, especially working with disadvantaged populations. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively as a team member; and have strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office products.
