Weekend Sports Anchor

WSIL-TV, ABC affiliate WSIL in Carterville, Illinois (88th DMA), is seeking candidates for a weekend sports anchor.  We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated and enjoy enterprise sports reporting.  This position involves covering various high school sports and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.  SIUC is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

WSIL is located in Southern Illinois (Marion-Carbondale).  Our coverage area also includes Southeast Missouri and Western Kentucky.

As weekend sports anchor/reporter you will shoot, write and edit content for daily broadcasts and digital platforms; including web and social media.  You will produce daily sports segments for broadcast.  A degree in Journalism or Mass Communications is highly desired.
