DESCRIPTION:Students can get their student ID/Library card issued\, receive help with technology and online class access\, learn about valuable resources like SIC’s TRIO program\, and take guided tours of the campus. Plus\, attending orientation and completing a few online modules can earn you free college credit! We highly encourage all new students to attend and welcome parents to join their students. \nThe afternoon session will be from 2:00-3:30 PM. The evening session will be from 5:30-7:00 PM. This year\, the Learning Commons is planning to offer an attendance-optional section on how to use library services between the afternoon and evening sessions to go over utilizing the library resources\, an in-depth discussion of tutoring services\, and some tech information (renting laptops\, switching from Google to Microsoft\, etc.) \nStudents may call the Admissions Office at (618) 252-5400\, ext. 4120 to sign up to attend. Registration is recommended but not required. \n
