SIC Falcon Follies Announces 2013 Contest Winners

Marcia Miller of Marion (second from right) was the winner of the 2013 Falcon Follies talent show April 30 at Southeastern Illinois College with a vocal solo. Taking second place was Norris City’s Jared Mitchell (far right) also with a vocal solo. And third place was awarded to the band, Deep Sun Mushroom Tribe, with an original song written by member, Travis Horton. Band members (l-r) are Austin Parker of Eldorado, Sean Adams of Shawneetown, Travis Horton of Eldorado, Lucas Horn of Harrisburg, and Nathan Burns of Marion. Fourteen acts including solos, a duet, a band, a monologue and a light show dance competed for cash prizes during the annual event.
