SI Bow Hunters Inc. Makes Donation to SIC Archery Team
To show its support for Southeastern Illinois College’s national championship archery team, Southern Illinois Bow Hunters Inc. has made a $2,000 donation to help the team defray travel costs during the 2014-15 school year.
This year, the team will compete in various archery tournaments throughout the Midwest, including the US Intercollegiate South Regional Archery Championships at University of the Cumberlands and the US Intercollegiate National Archery Championships at University of Missouri. In 2015, it will compete in the Illinois ASA State Championships and the Mathews Solo-Cam Illinois Pro/Am Tournament near Metropolis.
Making the check presentation are (L-R) SI Bow Hunters Inc. representatives Kerry Jones and Dwight Howton. Representing the SIC Archery Team are coaches Roger Snodgrass and Archie Blair.
“This contribution provides a huge benefit in that it allows the college’s archery team to continue competing at the highest of levels,” expressed Blair. “SI Bow Hunters’ support tells our students that the community is behind what they are doing and is proud of their accomplishments.”
