SIC Faculty and Staff Pied for a Good Cause

Southeastern Illinois College Student Government held a Pie in the Face competition to help raise money for Freddie’s Food Pantry located on campus. Jars with the candidates pictures were placed around campus and students voted on who they wanted to see pied by placing money in their jar. Of the nine contenders, those who raised the most money were Chad Flannery, Executive Dean of Student Affairs; Paul Cummins, Director of Forensics; and Dr. Tyler Billman, Veterans and International Students Advisor. There was then an auction where the highest bidder was the one who got to pie their pick. Student government raised nearly $300 to help fight hunger. Freddie’s food pantry is accepting donations, and is open through Nov. 22. For further information on eligibility, donations or becoming a sponsor visit www.sic.edu/pantry.
