Screenings for Children Ages Birth-2 to be held at SIC April 8
Wabash Ohio Valley Special Education District will be conducting free screenings on Monday, April 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Mary Jo Oldham Center for Child Study at Southeastern Illinois College.
The screenings are for all children living within the college district who are ages 0-2. They include hearing, vision, speech, language and coordination tests that last around 45 minutes total.
SIC’s district includes Saline, Gallatin, Hardin, Pope and much of White counties. It also includes the southeast corner of Hamilton and the northeast corner of Johnson, as well as small border areas in East Williamson and South Hamilton counties.
Appointments for these screenings are required. Call Amber Wheeler with the Mary Jo Oldham Center for Child Study, at (618) 252-5400 ext. 3415 or 3410 by Friday, April 5 to make an appointment. Space is limited and appointments will be taken on a first-call basis.
