Southeastern Illinois College Athletes and Team Receive NJCAA Honors

HARRISBURG, IL – July 27, 2023 – The Southeastern Illinois College Athletic Department is proud to announce that 13 Falcon student-athletes have been named to the All-Academic Team by the National Junior College Athletic Association for the 2022-23 academic year.

The All-Academic Student Athletes are:

Carter Hood – Baseball

Erin Wicker – Volleyball

Francisco Paradis – Baseball

Haley Sullivan – Softball

Jacob Hefner – Men’s Golf

Kirsten Jordan – Softball

Madison Bolte – Softball

Madison Weber – Softball

Makenna Mumbower – Volleyball

Morgan Snell – Softball

Whitley Hunter – Softball

Whitney Weller – Softball

Additionally, Southeastern Illinois College’s softball team received high honors for its commitment to academic excellence. In a press release dated July 17th, the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced the 2022-2023 Academic Teams of the Year, recognizing collegiate teams that excel in both athletic pursuits and academic achievements. This year, the SIC Softball team secured a spot among the academic elite, as they posted an impressive 3.50 GPA over both terms.
