National Champion Archer Shannon Fletcher Joins SIC Falcon Archers
Shannon Fletcher has signed her letter of intent to continue her archery career with the Southeastern Illinois College Falcon Archers for the 2026-2027 season.
Fletcher is a graduate of Epic Charter High School, where she was a multi-sport athlete participating in basketball, volleyball, softball, and soccer. She was a member of the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, National Honor Society, and was named valedictorian of her graduating class. Fletcher began shooting archery at the age of five and has built one of the most impressive competitive resumes in the sport.
Throughout her career, Fletcher has earned numerous state and national honors. She has been an Oklahoma State Champion from the Junior Eagle division through Women’s Pins 30, while also winning ASA State Championships in the Elementary Open division across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri. She was named Elementary Pins ASA Shooter of the Year in 2018 and Women’s Pins 30 ASA Shooter of the Year in 2025.
Fletcher has continued her success at the national level, earning NFAA Outdoor National Champion honors in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, along with an NFAA Field National Championship in 2024. At the conclusion of last season, Fletcher held seven national titles. She has also claimed multiple Oklahoma State Archery Association State Championships in Indoor, Unmarked 3-D, Marked 3-D, Broadhead, Field, and Target divisions.
In addition to her success in competition, Fletcher brings a strong academic background and commitment to service. She currently resides in Fayetteville, North Carolina, with her husband, Joshua Fletcher, who is enlisted in the United States Army. Fletcher will pursue an Associate Degree in Nursing at Southeastern Illinois College while continuing her archery career with the Falcon Archers.
The SIC Archery Team started with a small group of students as a pilot program in 2011. Since that time, the Falcon Archers have won national awards against Division I universities, added an indoor facility, an indoor team, and hosted high school tournaments. The team competes as a member of USA Archery.
