Sexual Misconduct Climate Survey
The purpose of the Sexual Misconduct Climate Survey is to provide information about the behaviors and perceptions that current students have related to SIC.
All students have been asked to complete a questionnaire concerning relationships, sexual experiences, experiences with dating violence, and perceptions about safety on SIC campus during the last 12 months. Illinois law (110 ILCS 155/35) requires institutions of higher education to conduct the Sexual Misconduct Campus Climate Survey annually.
SIC administered this survey online through SurveyMonkey in Spring 2024 and Spring 2025. Currently enrolled college credit students aged 18 and older (excluding Adult Education and Dual Credit/High School students) were invited to participate through an email message sent to their SIC student email account that included a general survey link. SIC did not provide incentives for participation in this survey. In accordance with state requirements, a copy of the College’s results from this survey are posted on the college's website. Questions with fewer than 20 respondents had all data suppressed to maintain respondent confidentiality. As such, data are marked as “NR” (Not Reported).
SIC's Spring 2024 results, along with the results from other Illinois Community Colleges, are as follows:
- SIC 2024 Survey Results
- Illinois Community Colleges' Statewide Survey Results (Not yet available from ICCB)
- Illinois Board of Higher Education's Statewide Survey Results (Not yet available from IBHE)
