Black History Month Celebration

Southeastern Illinois College will host a Black History Month Celebration on Wednesday, February 18, from 1–3 p.m. in Building A on the SIC Harrisburg campus.

The event will feature education and discussion on regional Black history, with presentations from historians, authors, educators, and archaeologists. Speakers will share insight into the people, places, and stories that have shaped Southern Illinois and the surrounding region.

Featured guests include Mary McCorvie, Brendan Jennings, Dr. Mark Wagner, Todd Carr, and George Hunt.

Light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
