Visual and Performance Art
The George T. Dennis Visual & Performing Arts Center (VPAC), located in F building, is named in honor of long-time humanities instructor George T. Dennis. The facility hosts many cultural, musical, and theatrical performances throughout the year.

Art Exhibits
The Ella Elizabeth Hise Museum of Regional Art and the original SIC Art Gallery, located in the upper lobby of the George T. Dennis Visual & Performing Arts Center, features rotating exhibitions.
Ella Elizabeth Hise Museum of Regional Art
The Museum’s mission is: To honor Ella Elizabeth Hise and foster an appreciation for visual arts works, exhibits, programs, and cultural partnerships that celebrate southern Illinois and the surrounding region.
Choral and Band Events
The SIC Concert Choir, SIC Community Chorus, and SIC Concert Band hold several performances each year in the George T. Dennis Visual & Performing Art Center.
Cultural Arts Series
The Southeastern Illinois Cultural Arts Series has been bringing quality cultural experiences to Southern Illinois since 1979. Performances range from musical groups and theatrical shows to dance groups and authors.
Children's Activities
Southeastern Illinois College offers a wide range of activities for children in grades K-12. We offer dance classes, choir, theatre, and academic camps to help enrich the younger generation in our region.

Theatre Productions
Southeastern Illinois College has a long history of theatrical performances, since long before the George T. Dennis Visual & Performing Arts Center Theatre was built in 1996. Now the 450-seat theatre hosts four major SIC productions a year, music concerts, Cultural Arts Series shows, Jr. Falcon Productions’ summer children’s shows, plus regional high school productions, local events and more.
