Southeastern offers several flexible payment options including making an online payment, setting up a payment plan, payment by telephone, mail, or in person at the cashier window.
Frequently Asked Questions
As soon as you get the financial aid award letter contact the Accounts Receivable Clerk in the Business Office to put a hold on your payment plan. This should be done by the end of the month to stop the next automatic payment on the 5th of the month.

- Tuition for Online/Distance Learning courses $110.00 per credit hour plus $25.00 In-District fee or $45.00 Out-of-District fee.

Veteran Tuition Rates
PA 98-0306: Beginning with the 2013-2014 academic year, Southeastern Illinois College will deem any veteran using federal veterans education benefits in-district residents for tuition purposes.
Senior Citizen Tuition Rate
Tuition is waived for an in-district resident age 62 and older. Course and other fees will apply.
Border Counties Discount
Students living in the following Indiana and Kentucky counties will pay a discounted out-of-state tuition rate for classes taken at the main campus or the Carmi campus.

$25 enrollment fee per semester
Nonrefundable returned payment fee if a payment is returned.

Make a Payment
Students can make online payments to their accounts using MasterCard, Visa, or Discover cards. You may also make payments in person at the tuition payment window located downstairs in E Building next to Financial Aid or over the phone by calling 618.252.5400 (866-338-2742 toll-free) extension 2501. Please have your student ID number available when making payments over the phone. Your credit card information is not saved or written down but entered directly into the terminal while you are on the phone.

Online Payment
You will need to sign into your MYSIC account to make the online payment. Go to Current Students, Bill and Payment, My Account Balance and Make Card Payment, My Account Balance and then Make a Payment.
Refunds
Tuition refunds are normally mailed within two weeks following the credit being posted to the students account. Financial Aid refunds are usually mailed two weeks after being transferred from Financial Aid to the students account.
Tuition Bill
Bills for early registration will be sent out approximately 3 weeks before the due date at the beginning of the Semester. Students who register after the notice is put on the SIC and the MYSIC websites that the early registration bills have been mailed should request a bill with the class list at the time of registration or go online to your MYSIC account to see the balance due. Payments for community education classes and late starting classes that you register for after the semester begins are due upon registration for the class.
1098-T TUITION STATEMENT
If your qualified tuition and fees are not fully covered by scholarships or grants, you may be receiving a Form 1098-T, Tuition Statement for tax year 2024. You can receive a printed or electronic version of the form. Please consider opting-in to the electronic version of the 1098-T. The electronic version looks exactly like the printed paper version. By opting-in to the electronic version, you don’t have to worry about losing your tax form. The form is easily accessible on MySIC. The deadline for opting-in to the electronic version is January 22nd. If you opt-in, your electronic form will be available before the printed forms are mailed on January 31st So, please follow the instructions for how to opt-in as soon as possible.

Steps to Opt-In to Receive Electronic 1098-T Statements
- 1 Go to www.sic.edu/mysic
- 2 Navigate to Current Students, then Bill and Payment on the left.
- 3 Towards the bottom you will see a 1098-T Statements section.
- 4 Click the green "Consent to electronic statements" button.
