SIC to Host Kids Fair in “Land of Make-Believe”
Southeastern Illinois College will host its annual Kids Fair on Thursday, March 26, from 4–6 p.m. in Deaton Gymnasium.
This year’s theme, “Land of Make-Believe,” invites children to step into a world of imagination with games, activities and prizes designed for preschool through third-grade students.
The free community event will include food, fun and interactive activities provided by local organizations and businesses. Families can visit vendor booths offering games, educational activities and information focused on reading, health, nutrition and safety.
Registration will take place in the Virgil Motsinger Sports Complex Lobby (C-Building), with games and vendor activities located in Joseph Deaton Gymnasium. Free food will be served in the Harry L. Crisp Student Center cafeteria.
Kids Fair is sponsored by Wabash Area Development Inc. (WADI), Legence Bank and Ferrell Hospital. The event is organized by SIC’s Community Education Department.
“We enjoy bringing families to campus for this event each year,” said Lori Cox, Associate Dean of Workforce & Community Education at SIC. “Kids Fair gives children a chance to learn and play while connecting with community organizations that support young families.”
Kids Fair is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Southeastern Illinois College at 618-252-5400, ext. 2302 or email lori.cox@sic.edu.
