VETERANS TO BE HONORED AT NOVEMBER 7 SIC CEREMONY
Southeastern Illinois College will celebrate those who have served our country with its annual Veterans Recognition Ceremony and reception on Thursday, November 7 at 12:30 p.m. in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center in Harrisburg.
The guest speaker for the event will be SSG Beau Detrick. Detrick is a former student of Southeastern who was named the Illinois Army National Guard 2012 Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) of the Year and a top qualifier for the National Best Warrior Competition.
Presentation of colors, a wreath laying by the Michael Hillegas Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and musical performances by the Pre-K class of the Mary Jo Oldham Center for Child Study will again be a part of the festivities. Light refreshments will also be served.
Southeastern Illinois College supports our military men and women and is recognized by G.I. Jobs as being among the top 15 percent of schools nationwide that deliver the best experience for military students.
