Quillen to Join SIC Archery in the Fall

HARRISBURG, Ill. (July 2, 2020) – Head Archery Coach, Alli Armstrong, announces that Jacob Quillen, will shoot for Southeastern Illinois College’s Archery Team in the fall.
“I have watched Jacob shoot for a couple of years now at the collegiate level,” said Armstrong. “There is no doubt that he is a talented archer and we are so glad to have him on our team.”
Quillen is from Edwards County and he will be studying Criminal Justice at SIC. This will be his third year in college after completing an associate degree in Diesel Technology at Wabash Valley College.
Quillen brings quite the resume to Southeastern Illinois College in his five years of competitive archery. Top Collegiate finishes include:
- 2019 All-American Academic Team
- 2019 National 3D Top Five
- 2019 Top Eight National Indoor Shoot Down Las Vegas
- 2020 1st Place 3D Regional Bowhunter
- 2020 Indoor 3rd Place Collegiate World in Vegas
- 2020 Top Eight Indoor National Shoot Down in Louisville
- 2020 All-American Team
The SIC Archery Team started with a small group of students as a pilot program in 2011. Each year since that time, the Falcon Archers have won national awards against Division I universities, added an indoor facility and indoor team, and host high school tournaments.
