Tifton Archer Joins SIC Falcons

Tifton, Georgia, native Aubrey Michael has signed his intent to compete with the Southeastern Illinois College Falcon Archers for the 2021-2022 season.
“My high school coach always told me to, ‘Be great!’ That is what I remember in everything I do,” says Michael.
A Tift County High School graduate, Michael participated in several extracurricular clubs and sports during his high school years. He was an active member of his school’s National FFA chapter and played on the Blue Devils football team. He has also competed in archery tournaments since his freshmen year and will bring those skills to SIC this fall. He will be majoring in welding and plans to become a pipeline welder in the future.
The SIC Archery Team started with a small group of students as a pilot program in 2011. Since that time, the Falcon Archers have won national awards against Division I universities, added an indoor facility, an indoor team and host high school tournaments. The team is a member of USA Archery and ASA Archery. For more information about SIC’s archery team and facilities, visit www.sic.edu/archery or contact ricky.sauls@sic.edu or 618-252-5400, ext. 2248.
