SIC Adds New Partnership With Central Methodist University
Southeastern Illinois College and Central Methodist University have unveiled a new partnership giving SIC students and alumni access to nine bachelor degree completion programs online.
Central Methodist, established in 1854 in Fayette, Mo., has long been a Missouri leader in community college partnerships in that state. This marks the first year CMU’s College of Graduate and Extended Studies (CGES) has gone beyond state borders to partner with a community college.
SIC students will be able to transfer readily into CMU bachelor’s degree programs in Accounting, Applied Behavior Analysis, Business, Child Development, Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Interdisciplinary Studies, Psychology, and Nursing (Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
SIC’s partnership with Central Methodist is its ninth, including institutions in Illinois, Ohio and Missouri, Rice noted.
More than 2,600 Central Methodist students were enrolled through its CGES program last fall. The University cites in-demand programs, a commitment to quality, a competitive tuition rate of $240 per credit hour and the convenience of online coursework as reasons for the popularity of its extended campus programs.
Current SIC students or graduates interested in learning more about the new partnership can contact CMU’s Director of Admissions for its College of Graduation and Extended Studies. Aimee Sage can be reached at 660-248-6651 or by e-mail at asage@centralmethodist.edu
