Anna-Jonesboro Bowler Joins SIC Falcons

Avery Page of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School has signed with the Southeastern Illinois College’s Bowling Falcons for the 2021-22 season.

SIC’s Head Bowling Coach Doug Cottom is excited to welcome Page to the team.

“Avery is a young lady we have been looking at for a couple of years now. She could have gone to any number of schools in the Midwest but chose to stay close to home,” said Cottom. “She was an accomplished youth bowler who carried that into her high school career. We look for big things from her over the next two years. She’s a great addition to the women’s program.”

The Falcon Bowling Team made a strong start in 2018, soon besting Division I universities in regional competition as a member of the United States Bowling Congress Collegiate Bowling. Anyone interested in trying out for SIC’s 2021-22 men’s or women’s varsity teams is encouraged to contact Doug Cottom at doug.cottom@sic.edu or 618-841-4867. Scholarships and bowler incentives are available.
