Employee Account Setup
NEW Employees should follow the steps below to set up their accounts. If you are a student worker, please see Student Worker Account Setup on the menu on left.
CURRENT employees who need a password reset should use the Forgot/Reset Password feature in the Falcon Portal.
Preparation Steps (ideally, steps 1- 3 occur prior to your start date):
- Complete your paperwork with Human Resources.
- Human Resources will submit an account request on your behalf to IT.
- IT will email your supervisor account information.
- Obtain your account information from your supervisor.
Activate your login and password from an off-campus computer:
- Use these steps when activating your login accounts from off-campus. If you are activating your login from a campus computer use those steps instead.
- Please navigate your browser to this login page: www.sic.edu/falconportal
- If on a mobile device and site asks you Mobile Site or Desktop Site, choose Desktop Site (not Mobile Site).
- Enter your user name (first.last) as provided in the email to your supervisor and your temporary password in Password and click Login.
- Enter your password recovery phone number OR email address.
- The system will send an OTP (One Time Passcode) to the phone number or email address you entered. After you enter it into the system click continue.
- You will be prompted to enter a new 15+ character password.
- Log in with your new password and you will now see a list of applications that you can access.
*(OPTIONAL) - Setup your alternate method for password recovery phone number OR email address.
- Click your name at the top right and choose Edit Profile.
Activate your login and password from a campus computer:
- Use these steps when activating your login accounts from a campus computer.
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete like normal to login.
- Type in your user name and temporary password provided in email to your supervisor and press Enter. You will receive a message that you must change your password. Click OK.
- Your temporary password will be pre-populated on the first line.
- Enter a new 15 character or longer pass phrase on the following two lines. Press Enter. You should never use this same password on any other sites besides those owned or operated by SIC.
- If successful, you will see a message saying your password has been changed.
- Navigate to Falcon Portal to setup your recovery phone number or email for future password resets.
- Enter your user name (first.last - same as above) and your newly created password in Password. Click Login.
- Enter your password recovery phone number OR email address.
- The system will send an OTP (One Time Passcode) to the phone number or email address you entered. After you enter it into the system click continue.
- You will be prompted to enter a new 15+ character password.
- Log in with your new password and you will now see a list of applications that you can access.
- Setup your alternate method for password recovery phone number OR email address.
- Click your name at the top right and choose Edit Profile.
Create your txtSIC account (optional:)
- Click txtSIC link in top header of SIC homepage.
- Create Username: Key in same user name as above (first.last)
- Enter your First and Last name in those text boxes.
- Enter your password: (use your new password set in above step)
- Check SIC Employees under Optional Groups
- Check - Agree to Terms of Service. Your cell phone number is not sold or provided to other outside entities.
- Click Create Account
- Mobile Phone (TXT): include your area code and do not enter dashes, i.e. 6181234567
- Select Carrier from the drop-down.
*Note: Straight Talk customers should use Verizon. If your carrier does not work, try Other. - If your account was created successfully, you will receive a text message on your phone within a few minutes containing an activation code.
- Key in the activation code sent to your phone. The status should change to Active.
- You can Cancel your service by texting STOP to 79516 or reply to any alert with the text STOP.
Request your Jenzabar One or Website Content Management System Account (if applicable):
- Have your supervisor submit a support request describing your access needs.
Print Services
- Obtain copier code from your supervisor.
- Submit a support request to setup a time with IT support staff to configure your network printers.
- IT will meet with you to set up printers (you must be present).
