The English faculty focuses on improving students’ writing process so that they may generate more compelling texts that serve a broad number of purposes. Students are also trained in such vital areas as information literacy and academic integrity.
Students in English courses prepare to use language and writing skills in a number of careers, as employers consistently look for job applicants with demonstrated writing ability. Many English graduates have found work as technical writers, teachers, journalists, editors, public relations officers, advertising executives, learning resource specialists, and more.
